We’re approaching what I think is the most wonderful time of the year – the holiday season. From October through the end of the year there are lots of holidays to celebrate. There are also holiday work schedules that change our regular routines. Often, we get panicked calls from our customers on Christmas Eve morning asking how to change their system schedules to close their call center early. I want you to get treats – not tricks – so I have some advice for you.

Beat the last minute rush – plan now!

Think about your business and call center schedule through the rest of the year. Do you close early the day before Thanksgiving? Are you closed the day after Thanksgiving? Most of our customers are closed Thanksgiving Day. Be sure to note that because the holiday falls on the fourth Thursday of November – it’s a different date this year than it was last year. That means your system schedules need to be updated. To save you from looking – Thanksgiving is November 27 this year.

Then, in December – do you close early on Christmas Eve? Will you be closed for a holiday party at some point in the month? How about New Year’s Eve? Of course, we kick off January with lots of football on New Year’s Day. You get the idea!
