Account Manager

The position requires a candidate with an excellent track record in outside sales, account management and relationship building.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively prospecting for new commercial business opportunities using a professional sales approach to secure new business
  • Provide ongoing relationship management to create long-term partnerships
  • Responsible for frequent communication of business conditions to the management team including sales lead updates and tracking using contact management system
  • Primary goals are new order bookings, revenue attainment and customer satisfaction
Skills, Education, and Requirements
  • Excellent prospecting skills, communication skills, demonstration skills, business aptitude and work ethic are requirements of this position
  • Experience in telecommunications or IT sales solutions is essential
  • Good understanding of the telecommunications industry (IP, Unified Messaging, data solutions, etc.) required
  • Experience or knowledge of Avaya, Cisco, Interactive Intelligence and Right Now portfolios desired
  • Excellent computer skills including use of contact management software, Microsoft Office, e-mail and the Internet
  • Impeccable phone skills, strong interpersonal and written communications
  • Ability to work with minimum direct supervision
  • BS/BA or equivalent preferred
