Communications Products, Inc. (CPI) is pleased to be one of the corporate sponsors of the National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT) / Indiana Aspirations for Women in Computing 2010-11 Competition. This competition will recognize 20 high school women from around Indiana for their accomplishments and aspirations in computing and technology.
NCWIT is a “non-profit coalition of more than 200 prominent corporations, academic institutions, government agencies and nonprofits working to improve U.S. innovation, competitiveness, and workforce sustainability by increasing women’s participation in IT.” The award recognizes high school women for their computing-related achievements and interests.
A list of the twenty recipients can be found at: http://newsinfo.iu.edu/news/page/normal/16668.html.
Indiana University School of Informatics has been instrumental in putting the Indiana Aspirations Awards program together, a program that will encourage young women to further their interest in Information Technology and will benefit all of Indiana.
As a minority business enterprise, CPI recognizes the challenges that women face in technology jobs and would like to encourage other organizations to rally behind this worthy cause.
If you would be interested in participating as a corporate sponsor for the next year, please email Maureen Biggers at email@example.com.
